She sees some mighty strange critters

"Now mind you folks,  I only see these creatures furom Lynn's photos. I nevfur git out on the bike path to see this.  I'd much rather wait here fur Lynn to come home fur the treats and the brushies."

The snapping turtle may have lain her eggs during
the night and was too cold and tired to move on.
I actually lifted her hind shell a bit off the ground.
She gave no reaction.  So I lifted again and pushed
at the same time.  She did hiss but did not try to
turn on me.  So I budged her a few inches off the
trail.  It was about 52 degrees that morn.

Black Rat Snake

The snake was also cold and did not want to move
when I spotted it too.  So when I tried prodding
it along,  it just wrapped itself around my bike tire.
I finally found a twig to convince it to move on.  These
two were only 50 feet apart that morning.

I see the Llama every time I bike.  But he's rarely this close to
the fence at the path.  He was already starting to grow back
his wool and this photo was taken one cold morning earlier in
the Spring,  when it was too cold too long.

And who doesn't enjoy seeing cows up close.  The llama is there
to protect half dozen mixed cows.  But I doubt there is anything
to bother them except flies.

"I should be the only one in yer photos Lynn.  After all I
am nice and clean and don't need prodding and never
need my wool sheared."

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

HeHe! Bless! Love reptiles, especially snakes.....
I expect the turtle needed a rest having laid so
many eggs...probably enjoying a well earned
rest...something like you do Precious...! :).

And nice seeing the Llama...though Llama's
like Alpaca's should not be kept alone, still,
it's in with the cows, so, that should'nt be to bad..
After all..like cows, they are a pack animal...!

Must get on...My daughter and hubby are coming
down later this afternoon, for a long weekend, bit
of a do on Sunday, family and friends, l'm just off
up to the supermarket, bit of shopping, food etc....
Another heatwave by the looks of things, though
Sunday looks like rain...! :(

Have a great weekend, Mum and Precious, and
mind you don't fall off that chair Precious...HeHe! :)x

Well none of those creatures on your bike ride would bother me Lynn EXCEPT the snake!! I would not be best pleased to see him.
Sometimes Llama's can hiss & spit I think. Yes you have the bestest place there, curled up on your chair in the sunshine dear Precious, waiting for Mum's return.
Rain has finished here for a few days & now frosts again - going to be zero in the morning, wood basket is full, furry ones all tucked up. Happy Weekend to you both x0x0

Precious, I love the critters Lynn sees, even the snake! She's much braver that I am, though, because I would not get that close to a snapping turtle, let alone try to shift it!

Those are especially wonderful photos of you, btw. You're definitely the fairest of them all, Precious!

Yes! Thankyou Julie....And yes, just the one dog now,
and that's Nala...HeHe! And she's a Tart...if she was
human..But..very lovely and friendly, loves children...
They'll take to the beach, though she does'nt like
the sea that much, and just paddles...! :).

Just got back from the supermarket...a few loaves
and fishes...feeding of the five thousand on Sunday,
well, about a dozen....HeHe! Bless! :O)x

Am sure some of those critters are so confused, if not a little bit stunned by the abrupt temperature changes ... seems to have dropped nearly 20/30 degrees in less than 48-hours. Quite a shock to their systems one would think, good of you to gently help ... all is well, Precious, do not worry! You remain Number One for Mom.

That is indeed a most interesting selection of critters. But we agree with you, Precious. You are the true star here!

Interesting critters but not as interesting as you!

I didn't know llamas could be used as protection animals. I always thought they were peaceful creatures.
It was kind of you to move the turtle and the snake.

52 is dang chilly for reptiles. I'm thankful you were able to prod them a bit. We once stayed at a B&B in the NC mountains. One of the activities they had was an afternoon trek to a lovely picnic table over a babbling brook. All the food for the picnic was packed on 2 llamas. The owners asked if anyone wanted to lead a llama I RAISED MY HAND quicker than greased lightning.
what fun that was. I was so excited
Precious at least Lynn began and ended the post with your the STARLET of the blog

Well heck, Precious...there are other critters out there, and since she is literally bumping into them, she may as well use her phone to capture the moments.
I so love your fur color, sweetie!

My goodness, going for a walk can be dangerous in your neck of the woods, Precious. I'm glad your Mom wisely keeps you at home. By the way, your furs are looking most plush. They make me want to cuddle you XO

I like the other small animals, as long as they don't bother the cats. Dawn Possum was *almost* an exception...the adult cats didn't mind her until the kitten came outside and she showed too much interest in him. But the cats watched and shooed her away, and I brought home fruit as an incentive for her to avoid the kitten. No idea whether her eating more fruit had an effect on the pups. Only one possum here has ever let me see her babies.
