Bagged this one

"Lynn,  let me help with the grocery sacks.  I bet I can make a great bed outa these."

"I can't figure out where my cat food is.  Did you already
put it away without me trying a bite or two?"

"I can't even smell cat food!  What's up with that?"

Precious, if I would have folded them, you could
have kept them creased for me to put back on the shelf.

"Peeple,  I got a story to tell on Lynn.  She may be the new
bag lady of the area.  She's been goin' down the road a bit
and bringin' back sacks of walnuts...... TO FEED THE SQUIRRELS!!!
We got us a runt grey mama squirrel with babies born during the
Feb. blizzard.  They live in the owl nest box.  Mama has eaten
up all the walnuts we had and Lynn must keep her fed.  After all
she is feeding homogenized and pasteurized milk to her babies."

Precious, you are right about me getting walnuts.  Our
couple of bushel were all finished off by the time the
heavy snow melted in March.  We had been
watching the girl take leaves up to the box and staying
there during some of the coldest weather.  And she
is definitely nursing.

"Chuck ran by furom his winter home to his summer home.
I tried askin' him when Spring was comin'.  He hollered
out that I should ask the Easter Bunny.  He's tired of
bein' blamed fur bad weather.  Like the 22 F (-5 C) we are
gonna have agin tonight."

Makin' and maybe bakin' da biscuits

"I've tried a few different recipes.  But they all turn out the same."

"I don't try to make them too often though.
Lynn doesn't want the mess to clean up.
Who'd think I'd make any kind of mess!"

I must say, Precious, you do keep the flour in the
bowl fairly well.  It's the eggs I worry about.

And I think you are needing to do less kneading, as they
may come out a bit tough.

Thursday morning March 19

Last Friday morn,  the 13th, I said this week would be a humdinger.
Well it started on the 13th with 60 to 70 MPH wind that raged
like a locomotive loose on the rails.  By early afternoon trees
were dropping,  utility poles were snapping in two, and
sub stations were going down.  Over 250,000 in Ohio
lost power while the temps were going down into the teens.
We were lucky and only went 30 hours with out heat.
And it has not warmed up yet.  So much for March 20!
How grateful we are to the out of state linemen who
came to our rescue where we live.

Purr-mission granted

"I let Lynn do things that are not all about me.  Only when I go off fur my morning 6 hour nap, mol.  Eating breakfast takes it right outa me and I gotta git some shut-eye."

In the winter I must find things to do.  Reading is good to a point.
Then my brain can no longer hold anything.
I crochet when the mood strikes.  And this winter I have
been using a book that has 100 small doilies.
Working up a few.

These are only 3 and 4 inches across.

Who me?

What is she dreaming?

miniature daffodils

We had 5 days of early false Spring.  My daffodils started
opening.  Then a deluge of rain came and by Wed. night
we were back in the winter temps.  Below
freezing again.
It's gonna be a humdinger next week.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and she's always gone too long

"Lynn is havin' a sing along agin, and I just want the sunshine. It ain't gone just now."

"We been waiting fur months fur this event."

"Just don't no one make a total eclipse about now."

"But it went away, like she always does fur too long.
And we got rain and dark but no snow!"
