Visit with the Cat Clowder

 "I haven't been up here in a while.  Thought I'd visit the family."

"Sometimes I surprise Lynn and jump up on the

armoire from her dresser top."

"I like to make sure all the kitties still live up here."

"This one is Suzy Q."

"And Seney."

"My Glow in the Dark mousie furom the B Team in England.

 And if you look quick,

 you'll see my kitty and the head of Peepers."

"I saw, I sniffed, I left."

"Lynn and the man who rubs my belly went to a 

model train show one very wet Saturday morn.

They saw lotsa models in motion and I said

I'd let her show off a few.  N scale which is

pretty small.  I know, 'cause we got some."

"And then the rains stopped and Lynn took a walk around

our neighborhood.  These were still bloomin'."

While I was busy

 "I was takin' my bath, and I decided to let Lynn muddle along with some of her own yakking today."

"She managed to bike ride a few days after last weeks

frosty morns.  It turned July hotz fur a couple days.

She said she was glad she did not miss the snappers

coming out to lay eggs and walk in the sun."

"Lynn says these are 3 different turtles furom the 3 rides she

took.  Look the same to me! Big and not furiendly!"

"Lynn says this is a raccoon fishin' fur crawdads or fizhes.

It looks suspicious to me, but hey, I was home bathin'."

"Now this I saw with my own eyes as it is right outside the

front door.  I leave you to decide fur yerself what's real

and what's fake.  I'm gonna go to sleep with clean fur."

Lady In Red, nobody here but you and me.

"Do y'all git tired of Lynn's caterwauling?  She's come up with another one fur me."

"I like to play in Lynn's antique jewelry box.  It'd be my

great-great hooman Grandpaw that made it. Lynn says

there's no jewels but lotsa keepsakes."

"I like to git things out and play on the floor.  This time, Lynn

got out Angel Suzy Q's red collar and heart tag and put

it on me."

" I started to go to bed with it, but Lynn decided she better

take it off and 

put it away

fur another day

of play."

I have to say, Precious did not mind one bit that

I buckled the collar.  She tried to reach with her teeth

for the heart but quickly decided going to bed would

be the better thing.  I had to crawl quickly to catch

her and take it off.

A Winter long guest.

 "We hada over winter guest.  Lynn would not let it in the house. But she 'splained to me this butterfly had to stay in it's shell all winter and outside so it would not hatch in the house."

"She found a teenie tiny Black Swallowtail caterpillar on a 

Queen Anne's lace in the garden in late Aug.  She had to buy it

organic parsley!  Me,  I just git bagged crunchies!"

"We kept it in a plastic bucket with a net cloth fur a lid.  To

keep the mice and birdies furom eating it."

"We were so happy to see it finally wake up.  It knew we had

a terrible winter and awful non-Spring Spring so it kept

in it's shell fur a very long time."

It hatched on April 21.  At least 6 months of waiting.

"As usual,  I take back seat to other critters."

Precious, I really don't think so.  After all you got 3 meals

a day with treats all winter long.  While poor butterfly

could only dream of Spring and flowers and flying.

And after it hatched out we have had morning after

morning of freezing weather and cold rain. Hopefully

the poor butterfly found food and dry place.

"Well, if I don't take the backseat to evfurry one else, how come

Rocky is eatin' and I'm just watchin'?

It was Sunday when the birds had hard water and I would not

go out on my pink rug.  I watched him wolf down bird seed."

Is to Me!

 "Lynn,  this is definitely me.  I recognize the photo you took of me when I furrst came home furom the orphanage."

"I 'member you takin' lots of pictures of me.  I was so surprised

to have my own blankie and bed and food bowl.  With 2 kinds

of crunchies to choose furrom.  And a private loo!"

"Why did you wait so many years, 13, to send my picture to the

calendar peeple?  I am sure they were thrilled to see this pose."

Precious,  once again,  I really don't think I sent your picture to

anyone.  But I do remember taking lots of pictures of you when

you came home with us.

"And nowadays, I gotta catio!  And I'm going out a bit.

Waitin' fur the flower pots to show up. Usin' my pink

rug 'cause we got mornin's of just above freezin' agin.

It just neffur ends.  Lynn also thought she lost my pink

rug when she could not find it anywhere.  Things got

all messed up when the floor peeple were here furever

in Dec."
