Giant wild cat and rooster

"Lynn, what the heck are those giant critters!  One looks a lot like

Katie Isabella only way too tall.  And the blue rooster!  Not

exactly our blue jay birdies."

Precious, these are just simple yard art animals.  I saw them
as I was biking further north one day.  They were over seeing
the road crossing in town.  Again, these are photos prior to
covid.

"I do not see anything simple about something so big it
must belong to Jack and the Bean Stalk monster man."

"I think it would be furry difficult to give that
cat any brushies or make it a cat bed to sleep in."

"Someone got it right when they made this blankie.  But what's
it doin' up on a library wall?  It should be covered in real
cat furs."

I know Precious, it is beautiful wall art in one of our branches.
I enjoyed seeing it and knew I had to get home to my
grey girl right away.

"

"Well, git on with the brushies and then the food.
I've waited around long enough."

I am feeling so much better after nearly 3 weeks of covid.
I can taste a little of a little but not smelling much.
I even took a couple short 8 and 13 mile bike rides.
They were difficult mostly due to the extreme heat
humidity even at 8 AM.  I even got out
my crochet hook after a nudge from Miss Ellen.
Again, thank you for
your good wishes.  Please do not get this.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Love that giant cat! I am glad you are getting over Covid at last. It is no fun trying to eat when your taste buds aren't functioning. I get the same from chemotherapy and then they wonder why you have no appetite.

Dearest Lynn,
That was special yard art on your bike ride!
So happy that you managed to bike, wish I could do that but need to gain some weight and strength first.
That kitty patch work is incredible and also the use of books where they sit on, for a library!
Oh Precious, git on with the brushies and then the food. Our kitties are really spoiled rotten...
Wishing you soon a full recovery for your taste and smell!
Hugs,
Mariette

I'm pleased you're finally feeling better, Lynn. Just don't overdo things - long Covid is a nasty beast, too.

Don't know about anyone else Precious,
but l love the 'BIG' pussy~cat...Yes! That's
a bit special...would'nt mind it in my garden! :).
And the wall crafting is nice to...something
unique...nice..!

That Covid is still dragging on around the world,
and still causing illness and even death...goodness!
I've been lucky, not come near me, my family and
friends, and neighbours have all had it, some twice,
even three times..kids and all...HeHe! Stick with the
garlic, l say...! :).

I love that giant cat and rooster, definitely eye-catching! The cat wall hanging is wonderful, kudos to the person who took the time to do it. I can barely sew on a button. 😁

I'm glad you're feeling better now and able to get out a bit! I lost my sense of taste a couple of times during the first year of COVID, so assume that even though I was double-masking, I picked it up anyway. I already live without a sense of smell, so I'm glad my sense of taste, such as it is, came back. The second time it took a solid 4 weeks, though. There's certainly no pleasure in eating without it.

Wishing you good health, and I hope you and Precious have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.

That's a lovely quilt!
We love seeing yard art too; it's so individual.
Even the huge house down the street from us, where they've left their Halloween decorations up all year; dudes climbing out of the ground, tiki statues too.

Wonderfu NEWS LYNN...thank goodness for feeling better. And very happy you are gradually getting back in to your routine of riding and I now Precious is glad you are brushing her gorgeous furs.
What a monster. My neighbor was feeling rotten on Tuesday...to the doc on Wed. YEP the dreaded C. He gave her an RX for Paxlovid. She has lost her tasted sensation too.
Hugs and continual healing

Love the quilt and the giant cat. Glad you are feeling better. Funny you call an 8 -13 mile bike ride short- I would call that impossible. :) XO

Goodness me Lynn - those garden art animals look to be bigger than human size? They are very cool but probably not for my garden - I could just see Madam Pip trying to "stalk them". But the quilt is definately Me! How wonderful that it is hanging on the Library wall - I hope they had a selection of cat books beneath it.
I am so pleased to read you are feeling better - still give yourself time as it can knock you for a month - well that is my experience of it. I envy the people that can get it & just think its another flu. Take care - pleased you are enjoying bike rides again. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend - I am off to the movies with a friend (not a Grandson) x0x

That is me. I posed for it. They just didn't catch my mustache. I love both of those yard ornaments. And thank GOODNESS Lynn that the covid has skedaddled at LAST! You can now crochet Precious another onesie.

Gosh Precious, you're so right about those big tall critters! Oh Lynn I didn't know you've had Covid. So glad you are feeling better. That's what I get for staying away so long. Covid is really going around here too. Hope I don't catch it. You and Precious take care.

You'd need a big yard for those giant creatures, that's for sure. And it's wonderful news about you feeling better. That covid hit you hard, eh? But multi-mile bike rides show you are on the mend, thank goodness.

Those are quite the yard art animals for sure. Boy, it sounds like COVID got you good, Lynn. Glad you're feeling a bit better, and we hope you're back to good health soon.

We are so glad your Mom is starting to feel better, Precious. You give her lots of kisses to help her along. Lynn sure takes great pictures of interesting and unique things, including you, Precious. Have a happy brush session!

Oh, so sorry for your covid catch....horreur! But so glad you are better and I think your taste will return. So important to stay out of crowds this summer and mask in markets, etc. So many think it's gone but no way, Jose. Thanks for your visit, dear lovely grey kitty.

Thank you for your comment on Dani today. Yes, I don't think putting anything on her head would have impeded her growth. She is still my baby, though, regardless the size.

I'm sorry you've been sick for so long, you're in my prayers.

Those are fascinating yard art pieces. We have a few around here, but not many.

Precious and Peep!
We are sorry to hear you have not been feeling well and we are sorry we have not been around much to comment lately. Life, sometimes gets in the way.
Thank you for your condolences, it means so much to me (us). Cinnamon is missed terribly.
Cinnamon arrived when Kozmo was about 6 months old and I did not know that cats and dogs could be bonded pairs until then. Those 2 were inseparable. Kozmo was always within sight of Cinnamon. He even followed us on our walks and for the last few months, when we knew she was really ill, he was sleeping with her (again). He is still sad.

Love Barb (and Kozmo, Marv, Jo Jo, and Nutmeg)

I'm so sorry you had covid, what a miserable dose! But glad that you felt good enough to ride your bike again, that's wonderful! Miss Precious has a dubious fear of those silly big animal yard art, I don't blame her! But they are kinda cute :) The quilt is just gorgeous, and a gray kitty at that! I wonder if Precious may be related? Blessings to you both!
