Beats the stuffin's outa me

"Lynn, what is wrong with this new toy?  I thought you

said it was the cats meow. Again, wrong."

So I buy another toy.  Of course, I have no
self control.  But this one seemed to be advertised
as very cat-nippy.

So when Precious gave it a thumbs (my thumbs of course) down,
I decided it was time for an autopsy of the blue thingy.
While I was at it, I figured I'd peel open the nanner and give
it a dose of new catnip.  After all, a good peel should be given
another shot at cat life.

Well, if I'd had any idea what was in the new blue one,
I'd have had my camera ready to show you.  Disgusting,
it had maybe 1/2 teaspoon or less of catnip inside! Not
enough to catch the interest of any kitty. I'm here to
tell you, (if your interested, mol) that a trained nippy-sniffing
hound dog could not have sniffed out this nip in an empty room!

I opened the nanner and found a whole bag of old un-fragrant
catnip!  So I filled it and stitched it shut.

The blue one,  I pulled a handful of polyester stuffing out
and replaced it with 1/2 bag of fresh nippy and sewed it
shut.

"This better be good, Lynn."

"Lynn, I am CAT, I do not need a blood hound
to tell me if there is nippy in here."

So, human buyer, beware.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

  3. You're right about those nip toys, most seem to have very little nip and are mostly stuffing. Derry used to take more of an interest in nip when he was younger, he seldom does now. You could also try a baby sock filled with nip and tied in a knot -- easiest toy ever!

  4. Mom does "surgery" on some of our toys sometimes too. We're MOL at that 'toon!!!!

  5. Cats like what they like and turn their noses up at things they don't. It's the way of cats.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

  6. We just got some fresh(dried) catnip to refresh some of our toys. A couple of us go nuts over catnip - but only for a few minutes. We hope Precious approves,

  7. I hope your work was appreciated! I used to keep some of Flynn's toys marinating in dried nip then change them around every week. Eric was never interested in it until he discovered valerian.

  8. That was nice of you to improve them. :)

  9. Cat toys are sometimes made by the same people who produce veterinary food for cats: felines want nothing to do with either. Hector - and now Horace - are the ones who play in my home, and Hec's favourite toy? The plastic sealant-ring off a four-litre milk-jug...

  12. Precious you told me something I have always wondered about. Now the nanners really appeal. Amd you can see the green in them where the kitties keep on licking. But the other toys, I have wondered.

  13. Precious, love you but my mom has this and that going on. She reads things but hasn't a lot of time just now but soon, she will. She and I both love you
