Makin' and maybe bakin' da biscuits

"I've tried a few different recipes.  But they all turn out the same."

"I don't try to make them too often though.
Lynn doesn't want the mess to clean up.
Who'd think I'd make any kind of mess!"

I must say, Precious, you do keep the flour in the
bowl fairly well.  It's the eggs I worry about.

And I think you are needing to do less kneading, as they
may come out a bit tough.

Thursday morning March 19

Last Friday morn,  the 13th, I said this week would be a humdinger.
Well it started on the 13th with 60 to 70 MPH wind that raged
like a locomotive loose on the rails.  By early afternoon trees
were dropping,  utility poles were snapping in two, and
sub stations were going down.  Over 250,000 in Ohio
lost power while the temps were going down into the teens.
We were lucky and only went 30 hours with out heat.
And it has not warmed up yet.  So much for March 20!
How grateful we are to the out of state linemen who
came to our rescue where we live.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Our weather has turned for the better, sunshine
'ALL' week, dry, but still a little chilly...it's coming
up eight o'clock, and the sun is shinning through
the Paddington Bear curtains....Lovely!

And, tell Mum to give you an egg to play with,

on the floor, and, sometimes they crack open,

Rats, the video wouldn't load for me. You do look like you make THE BEST biscuits, though, Precious. 😻❤️

First day of Spring and we're having more 🀬 snow. I. Cannot. Take. Anymore. Of. This.

Whey~Hey.....
A simple 3-ingredient biscuit recipe uses 2 cups self-rising flour, 1/2 cup cold butter (grated), and 1 cup heavy cream or buttermilk. Mix ingredients until just combined, shape, and bake at 450°F for 10-15 minutes....
For a sweeter, cookie-style biscuit, mix 500g margarine, 1 cup sugar, and 5 cups flour, baking at 180°C for 15 minutes.....! :O).

Being without your heat and electricity for 30 hours is very hard to do in the winter. Are those mini-daffies? We see them along one of our walks and we only see green leaves - no flowers yet. Biscuits are so yummy!

There is always plenty of room for biscuits sweet Precious! That's some awful wind, I'm sure glad you are okay!

Oh noes, it's dreadful that so many went without power.
Henry made biscuits this morning; the first time I've seen him do it.

You sound like you are a very good baker, Precious. I am glad you weren't without power for too long, although 30 hours is plenty long enough! Our weather has improved here, sunny but still chilly.

Yikes! Not the best start to spring. Precious was making biscuits because she is a safe and warm insider-cat, no doubt.

Yes video unavailable for me too Lynn, as I see others have written. That's okay we can tell by the trance-like look on your face that you are busy kneading & making biscuits dear Precious. I hope you remembered to add the choccy chips!!! Easter is coming after all.
I am pleased to see those dear little daffys poking through the snow - goodness me, you have had the weather extremes this winter. 30 hours is a very long time to be without power - I moan my head off at 8 hours!!!! You will both be looking forward to some summer temps & when you can get to go out on your Catio dear Precious.
Wishing you both a wonderful weekend - stay warm. We have lovely mild days here but things are so dry, I have the hose in the pond so the fish are not trying to swim on the sludge at the bottom!! Little One is down there watching (!!) x0x0x0

I bet you make the best biscuits ever. Sorry you lost power for so long. Ours was out for almost 12 hours the other say and I was quite annoyed. XO

The video won’t play but I’ll bet your biscuits are the best. May you have more spring-like weather soon.

Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

Yes indeed that weather was there for us, too and while we ourselves didn't need to use the generator, there were loads of power outs in the areas north of us. Our shed did get lifted off it's moorings and went to a windy jaunt to another part of our yard, LOL! We pout it back after the winds died down and re-secured it.

Glad you got the power back on...and let's pray that Winter is gone so spring can come in gently...
