On flower duty

"I have to be on guard duty to keep the flower pots safe."

"The vizshuz deer must be stopped.  And I am the one to do it.
My fence is magical.  No breaking into the catio furom them."

"But I have to be vigilant.  They can be sneaky, like comin'
'round when I'm nappin'."

white snap dragon that the seed was off a red one

red snapdragon that is the color of the original

"And just look who showed up.  He's a young bun wanting
to eat flowers.  No Way!  And wouldn't you just know it
but one eve when I was fast asleep on Lynn's legs during
our 3 hour time,  a squirrel squeezed under the catio fence
and tried digging in the flower pots.  I missed the whole
thing as Lynn did not wake me up!"

"I'm helpin' butterflies hatch."

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Ah! Bless! Surely Mum can spare the bunny a
few flowers Precious...l can understand the deer
eating a lot, but a bunny,...? HeHe! :).
And...Bless the little squirrels, clever little fellas,
HeHe! I love them to bits...especially skinned,
gutted, and cleaned, then cooked over the BBQ...! :).

I'm up and about early, sun was up at seven, another
hot day, and more heatwaves forecast for next week.
Lot of drought around the country, though last week.
l had a letter from the Water Board, saying it's all o.k.
where l live, for the moment there will be 'no' hose
pipe ban...Good news there then..! :O).
Keep, keeping yer eye on those pots Precious...Bless!x

Hmm the playful storytelling mixed with flower details makes it really charming. It feels warm, fun, and welcoming, just like chatting with a friend.

No wonder you fell asleep and missed the squirrel, Precious, with all the guard duty! You must be exhausted! Excellent work, though, especially keeping the deer and rabbit out!

You are sure going to be busy sweet Precious, those critters don't give up easily!

Precious, you are a true gardener, watching your flowers so diligently, and you don't dig in the pots like some naughty relatives of yours might.
It's funny when seed produces flowers of a different colour to the original.

Precious I don't think I've ever known a kitty to work as hard as you do. BUT OMCs what a wonderful 'office' you have full of beautiful blooming flowers and a million dollar view. I know the butterflies love that you are so attentive too.
I am envious of Lynn's 3 hour leg time with you. Angel Madi did not routinely sit on my lap. She liked being beside me or behind me on the back of the couch

Yep, the deer will eat everything, as will groundhogs.
Bunnies too, so we've observed.

You have a very important job protecting mom's flowers, Precious. Darn bunny! You'll be awake the next time he tries anything underhanded!
