"Lynn, what is this thing? It doesn't even smell like wacky
weed! You take it away."
I only make it to any one of the 3 big cities a couple
times a year. Each one is 40 or more miles away and
I am not a shopper, so I don't really have much want
or need to visit.
But when I do, I always go into the big box pet stores.
One hosts Humane Society cats for adoption and I always
want to see the cats.
So I end up looking at "toys" for Precious. Why oh why
do I bother.
This one caught my eye because it has a crinkly sounding
skirt. But no catnip at all. Thought the noise might make
it fun. But nope, no interest at all.
It now sits on her unused fancy cat bed in the living area.
But that is OK as Precious uses my legs instead.
Good thing I only waste a few dollars once or twice a year.
It would have been better spent on her food.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Precious, Derry shuns most of the toys I buy for him, even the catnip ones. However, if you love your nip, I suggest your mom puts a generous amount into a baggie, then pops the toy (or toys) into it and let the toy(s) "marinate" in the nip for a while. (I rotate Derry's toys, so some are always "marinating" while others are out, in case he actually does want to play for 5 seconds.)
I tried that with this new toy and that did not entice Precious.
Yesterday Precious unknowingly sent unused toys, another crochet cat bed and a bag of kitten food to the orphans.
Well, it's kinda cute. I was going to suggestt he catnip infusion but Kea beat me to it. What puzzles me is the dog owners who continue to buy the dogs toys which they shred within 24 hours. Why bother ? Why risk the dog swallowing stuffing or a squeaker ? At least the ones Precious ignores can be "regifted."
I wouldnt worry so much Lynn ... at least the money you spent goes to a good cause if it's the Humane Society. Miss Pip has moved on from her toys now too ... they're funny creatures aren't they. Blackie has never been interested in toys ever. Wishing you both a lovely weekend. xx
Precious may not be impressed, but you tried. I think that says something about your devotion. :) Enjoy the weekend.
such a cute unicorn kitty, marinate it in a baggie wif sum catnip
Hello dear!
This cat - unicorn is lovely. I think that I would play with it better than my Baby and my Mariola :) My cats like a loop, a stick with a mouse on a string. The second is the laser displaying the mouse, the third is the cat's tv on YouTube and the fourth is my hair bands. Really, my hair bands are so much fun to them!
When I'm in town, I also like going to the pet shop. For me, there is no such shop with cats, there are only fish and rodents. I think my city is too small. However, just like I don't have to go to the city, I don't go - I'm close and most often I have to go there to work: D
A wonderful entry Dear, all the best and a lot of health!
Greetings from Poland!
Ah, the unused cat-toy. Yes, I have many, though, I will say that sometimes a new foster-cat shows interest in them. Can you spray a little cat-nip on the bed and toy? Add it after the fact, as it were?
Yeah, bless Lynn's heart for trying. I'm the exact same way with stuff like that. Dad says he's gonna try the 'nip marinating thing with one or two of my cobweb-covered toys to see if that gets me playing like a youngster.
Precious, you make me smile. Smokey doesn't care much for toys. I watched your little movie in your last post. You are so cute...or should I say "precious".
Lynn, I love this post. Precious sounds as "cool" as my own sweet ginger boy, who is too "cool" for the toys (and expensive cat bed!) my husband is tempted to buy for him now and then.
