Reflections

"Lynn was out and I was in.  She's furever trying to git photos of me."

"I think she was just messin' with me."

"I don't think these were supposed to be developed.  I like to
give my bestest when photographed."

"I was most adoptable and therefore am a lucky cat."

"This pink gladiolus is on my catio and the
hummingbirds luv 'em.  But this is the last one
of the summer.  I'm gonna miss those tiny birdies."

Ahoy Matey, Foreign Fur

"Fe Fi Fo Fum,  I smell the furs of a fureiner.  Lynn why do yer legs smell funny."

I have seen this young cat on the bike path a few times this
year.  It is always in close proximity to a nice house that
has 3 horses and a small stable.  No idea if it is a barn cat
or just one that was born close enough to stay around.

I didn't give much thought to it rubbing all over my legs
until I biked away.  Once I got off a ways I wondered about
the chance of getting poison ivy from it's fur.  I took my
drinking water and a paper towel I carry and washed off
as best as I could.  Never did get poison ivy, thank goodness.

"I would have loved to scratch your itchies with my
sharp claws if you'da got poison ivy, Lynn.  I really
could have dug in deep and maybe made it bleed
out the poison."

Precious and I want to give Willie an early
"Happy Birthday" wish.  He will turn 39 on
September 21,  forever young.

"I got invited aboard the Big Ship Lollypop!
I'm gonna cook fur the Pirates."

Chicken Little? Or little chicken?

"Lynn,  is this the farm where my chicken crunchies grow?  Why don't you stop and go in and git me more?"

I ride my bike by these buildings almost every time I'm out.
Chicken farms are a big industry in our county and you
see buildings like this every where on the rural roads.
These are not egg farms though some one must provide the
eggs that hatch.  These are for eating chicken dinners.
Amazingly they emit no smell until time to clean out the
basement septics and then the worst smell is they spread
it on all the farm fields around.  Then you can not miss
the stink in the air even a few miles away.

"Why is my bowl empty if all these burds live so close?"

The end of summer pink flowers.  Sedum with honey bees.

Water water evfurry where

"You didn't jump in and go swimming did you Lynn?"

"You know water is only good fur drinkin'.  I totally disapprove
of gittin' my body wet."

Said by a cat who sat out in the dark and got drizzled on
while eating moths just recently.

No worries about me swimming here Precious.  The water is
clean and clear but it is the sand quarry pit.
I bike by here all the time,  but I had to climb up the dike
to peer over on a day they were closed for work.

It has really gotten bigger in the 10 years or less that they
have been digging here.  There is a corn field behind the
huge dredge that will be next to go.  It might last them
another 10 years or less.

"This how I like my water.  Cold and in a cup meant
fur me."

My other color Rose of Sharon bush.  Hummingbirds love it.
