Shrine visit

"Now, Lynn did this trip in the fall.  Not much happening in Jan. and

Feb. and March!  Whata winter fur sleepin' and bird feedin'."

This Catholic Church is in Carey Ohio,
in the north central part of the state.

Built in 1875.  The Statue of the Virgin Mary is to the right
of the church alter in it's own alcove.

This is the Bacilica.

The Church has a many acres with the
Stations of the Cross to walk and many
statues outside.  This path is over one mile long.

It is a very beautiful very old Church with
pipe organ.  It is a magnificent church and a
real pleasure to see in person.  I knew of for
years, but just not had made the effort to go
and visit.

"I had my own pipe organ goin' when she
walked in the door.  My classic tune of
"where's the food" in C minor, fur cat."

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

I must say...I~Love~Stained~Glass~Windows....
I watch the repeats of 'Flog It' on BBC2 Mon~Frid.
at 5.15pm..as it's usually in a church, or Cathedral,
and some of the stained glass is amazing..and so
old to...!

Of course l was raised a Catholic..church, three,
four times a week, twice on Saturday, and three
times on Sunday, finishing up with Benediction
on Sunday at 6.30...!
Now! I'm a 'lapsed' Catholic, still a Catholic, but,
l don't take part in any of the festivals, or religious
practices...I choose to believe in my own way, pray,
in my own way...and l've been that way for many years
now...!

Well....Spring may have sprung...it was nice and sunny
at 6.00am this morning, though still chilly, l've put some
washing in the soak, that'll be ready to go out in an hour
or so...and dry by lunchtime...!

The church photos ae lovely Lynn...Lovely...! Thankyou..!
Hope you did'nt spend to much time on yer knees.....
After all...Precious has to be fed....HeHe! Bless her...! :O).

That is a beautiful church. I love to visit the different churches when we are on holiday, which I am able to start doing again this summer. Precious, you made me laugh with your own pipe organ!

What a stunning cathedral. I enjoy touring older churches and looking at the stained glass, the artistry that went into building them.

Precious, no doubt your pipe organ music was the sweetest sound Lynn heard that day! 💖

Precious, gotta say I'm partial to Bach's fugues and organ music, which were written to be played in churches.

Wow, that window dazzles the eye, it's so beautiful. The whole building looks to be a work of art.

That sure is a beautiful church you visited Lynn. I do love old churches & all the history of them. The ones in this country are nowhere near as old as the ones you have, Yes I can well imagine the pipe organ you were singing a Mum returned dear Precious,. I am on the laptop again & it is not co-operating so I shall make this short. Have a lovely weekend both of you xx

Wow, such beauty (you AND the church, Precious). Dad says it's a lot like the old church he went to in his youth- though on a much bigger scale than his- and he always sat up in the balcony where the huge organ pipes ran up the back wall while his mother sang in the choir. Have a splendid Sunday and week, ladies.
