Dining out

"Why do you git to dine out while I lay here starving all day long?"

"I know, I know.  You went on another trip of some sort.
You just never think on how this affects my daily
routine."

I had been out on a different bike path where I drive
15 miles to get to the beginning of it.

When the trip was over and I was driving through this
tiny village, I saw that the home town diner was
open 'til 2:30.

I had never stopped in before but was definitely
hungry as I forgot to pack my lunch.
These photos show just some of the fun things
on the walls.  There is probably seating for 30
people, tops.  They serve breakfast from 7 until
2:30 and offer some lunch options. I got a
ham steak dinner that was way too good and way too
much to eat for a very reasonable price.  Then
homeward to Precious.

"I had to eat fast when you dipped it up.  I was afraid you
were goin' to go out again, or something."

"Mackerull,  lookie here.  Lynn found turkey burds on
the bike path!"

It is unusual for me to see turkey on the path but
once or twice a year I luck out.  This was a hen
and one 1/2 grown poult.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Oh! Look at that face...and an empty plate...! :(
Poor you Precious...and looking 'SO' thin...HeHe!
I jest of course...If Mum was quick enough...you
may have had some turkey...never mind, it'll soon
be Christmas..turkey time then...! :).

Those items on the walls, the trays made me chuckle,
would'nt the plates and all the food fall onto the floor...
HeHe! Bless! :).

Must get on...a visit to the supermarket shortly, and
we've had a few days of rain, and a few more days to
go...still...the garden needs it...we've had hardly any
summer, one of the worst on record, especially for rain,
not a heatwave in sight...! Still...never mind....
"Onwards and Upwards" ...Bless! :O).

Dearest Lynn and Precious,
What a wonderful bike path, even if you must go 15 miles for getting onto that.
That diner looks very interesting and glad you found some energy food.
OH, Precious, you can really give that pitiful look at your Mommy. How you DO suffer all on your own!
Big hugs as I sit here with Spooky on my lap in my chair... not easy but he had to study Precious' face.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties

Oh, Precious, you do make your poor mama suffer. She has to have some time to herself, you know.

Precious, you do a great job of laying on the guilt. Lol.

Little diners have the BEST food! Plus how neat it was to look at all the items they have on display. I'm glad it was a terrific jaunt!

Those items on the wall were interesting. We always like to stop at small local places when we are out. It helps out the small businesses. The big chains make too much profit as it is.
I hope you got some ham steak, Precious. We always used to take a kitty bag home if there was too much to eat.

Oh my goodness Precious - look at you sitting there with a sad face - I am sure I can see your ribs sticking out through your fur onesie there!!! πŸ˜‰ I know you don't like Mum going off on her bike but its good for her health, physical & mental. Just like sleeping is for you dear Precious.
That Diner looked great Lynn - I love places like that with all the vintage stuff on display. Makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Have a great weekend - I was up early this morning & off to the Garden Centre by 8 am - stocked up on compost & some plants so hoping to get outside again today. x0x

Humans can be so selfish, Precious! That diner looks adorable though.

Diners are great. We don't have any in our city. The last one closed some years ago. It had absolutely no atmosphere, but it was a local favourite. I had to chuckle when I saw Precious's expression. Oh my, someone was not pleased about her routine's disruption...

Precious MOL MOL you might need to post the house rules that need to be followed before Lynn goes out and about.
Lynn I loved all the the kitchen utensils and tea and coffee pots.
They reminded me of my Annie Ma(Grandma) perking coffee on the stove top
Hugs Cecilia

What a fortuitous find was that cafe, and such interesting decorating! Did you bring some of that ham back for Precious? Whatever was on her plate was all lapped up. She sure looks satisfied.

Well that diner sounds like a pretty cool place, but we have to say, Precious- that photo of you with your empty plate would make for a fantastic "Make Your Own Caption" contest!
