New Blanket, wrong place

 "I love this blankie, Lynn."

I know Precious.  I learned my lesson on buying
you toys.  So this time I splurged on a plush blanket
for $15 at our only large "box" store before Christmas.

My intention was for Precious to have it on the
tiny living area floor for napping on in my sight.
She did inspect it there, but would not actually use it.
So I folded it into quarters, for thickness and put
it under the bed where she has been sleeping the
top half of each day.

"I love it here.  The furnace pipe is right under the bed.
The heating is purr-fect and the blankie lets me knead my
tootsies.  Now drop the bedspread and let me sleep!"

So, in the end I am foiled again by the cat.
I really don't get to see much of her until 5 PM for brushing,
then 3 hours of leg time.

I'll never get to decorate our tiny house the way I would like.
However, as I love the color blue I will browse the photos
and pretend.  After all, Precious and I have a blue recliner
with a blue blanket.

And I'll never be able to plant the flowers in this book
because of my lovely deer herd. So I'll just do the same
kind of pretend for flowers.

These are books from the library to try to keep myself sane
during Jan. Feb. and March.
So far the weather is not bad up here, but I miss my
bike freedom and now I have to bundle up like and Eskimo
for walking.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

  1. Oh! My word Precious...what a lovely blanket...very posh!
And now you've got it under the bed...! How long are the
legs on the bed..they must be long, to get you and the
blanket under there..! :). Mind you..mine are 18in before
    you get to the mattress..!
So..well done Precious, we can see who rules the roost! :)
As they say..."Dogs have owners, cats have staff"..! :)

And l stear clear of any book that has the word Almanac
on it...but..then l stear clear of ALL books, never read a
book in my life...Why? Patience..or lack of it...HeHe!
Can't be doing with ALL those words, page after page...
Illustrated is not so bad...but..book..books....Nope! :(.

Well..another cup of Earl Grey with lemon and honey
is called for..few days of cold, frost and snow round about,
    but at least it's dry...
Perhaps l'll join you under the bed Precious..! :O).

  2. Precious! You should have asked mom to get you a tunnel and I'll send you my coordinates! YOU should have been here yesterday! SUN!! I laid in sunpuddles all day LONG! We could have enjoyed them together I don't think the sun would bleach out your onesie. My black is still black but you can see y cinnamon colored underpants through my furs when the sun shines on them! Tell Mom you would love to have a tunnel. They are fun to hide in too.

  3. That's a very cosy blanket, Precious. Now I understand why you like it under the bed--the heat from the vent! (And the safety of your cave, of course.)

I watch a lot of "Escape to the Country" (UK) and follow various UK Instagram accounts, mostly garden and photography-related. It's as close as I'll ever get to living my own dream life!

Take care and when Precious comes out from UTB later, give her an extra brushie from me. I miss that with Derry, he always wanted to be on my lap being brushed and we did it several times a day.

  5. As long as Precious is happy then it is ok the blankie ended up under the bed. :) You should make a vision board with all the things you would like. XO

  6. That's a great idea. Years ago I made a binder of magazine cut outs of tea items and flowers and kitten. It's my mid-winter cheer up book.

  10. Precious, you are the kind of cat, i believe, who likes what she likes and where she likes it and that is that.

My house won't be well decorated, either, but like you i can admire pictures all i want.

    Thanks for joining Feline Friday!

  13. Sorry we are late Precious! I read your blog with Mom yesterday morning before Mom went to the big city but it was on the tablet. and then I got busy writing the Chinese Horoscopes and I FINALLY got a chance to comment. I LOVE your blue blanket! It sure matches your furs. I too have a lovely red plush blanket that I got from Mr Spitty my first year here in Canada but Mom steals it all the time in the winter. We LOVE the blues! And the flowers! Our Mom feels the way Lynn does, but there is a lot to like than there used to be and we feel the same way about our deer (and flowers). 15. Oh Lynn, I know what you mean about this cold weather. Today here, it is cold and very windy...cuts right through you. burrr! Precious, you are so much like Smokey. He likes his blanket folded and in the edge of my sewing closet...or under the bed. Your new blanket is very pretty...you are very handsome!
