Apple Hog, Whistle Pig, Ground Hog, you name it

"Lynn has been frustrated with her lack of eatin' apples this year. Oh the 2 trees were loaded early on but the critters outside have a yen fur them too."

"We gots the squirrels and the deers and then here came
the hog.  He's a chub now as he has eaten so many apples
and working on acorns now."

"The squirrels and crows just pick 'em and toss 'em after a
bite er two.  Then chubs has his pick afore the deer herd
stampedes thru."

"Soon as the apples stopped fallin' furom the sky, he quickly
found the acorns were rainin' down like manna furom
Whistle Pig heaven."

"Now just give me a bucket full of my
crunchies and I'll let Lynn have the apples."

Here's a short short video of some of the
hundreds of wild honey bees I am so happy to
see this year.  This is one flower head of dozens
I have on 9 sedum plants.  Every flower head has
had many many bees.

Above is a Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly.
No Monarchs new or old flying by.  Just the 11
that hatched and flew off into the rains of the South.

And the other good news is our Eastern Blue Birds
fledged 4 nest boxes of babies this year.  Could be
any where from 16 to 20 babies.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Ah! Bless! At least the apples are'nt going to
waste...we humans don't eat that many of
them...so, let the wildlife enjoy them...! :).

And..It's lovely seeing the bees and the
flutterfies on the flower heads...enjoying the
nectar and the sunshine, lovely to watch to..!
And, the Blue Birds doing so well to...16 to 20

It's a joy to see so many bees. Shame about the apples, though. At least they're not going completely to waste.
Precious, there's plenty going on outside to entertain you - you are lucky. 😼

It's like your property is The Wonderful World of Disney. πŸ˜†

I'm sure all the critters are happy to have the buffet out there! Soon food will be scarcer to come by.

Precious, you appear to need a refill on your kibble! 😁

Despite Precious's concerns, you've got a lot of wildlife that are thriving; go on you.

Dearest Lynn and Precious,
Yep, that is the disadvantage of sharing your yard with the other critters that live here. But nevertheless, it is worth doing it for them.
Your sedums are stunning and attract honey bees and butterflies.
The teens that help me water the patio pot plants and fill the two bird baths just got done when we all stood in the kitchen and through the bay window we saw one freshly filled bird bath with 6 blue birds and the other with 4! What a joy and how I wish I could have captured that!!!
It must have been a good year for them to multiply.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties

Precious I know every critter has to eat but dag blasted it some critters(SQUIRRELS) are a gluten, don't share and just plain rude. They evidently were absence from Kindergarten on the day 'sharing' WAS TAUGHT.
I did so love seeing the honey bees and thank Lynn for id'ing the butterfly.
Happy Friday Hugs Cecilia

Gosh it is always fascinating to me, to see the different animals & critters you have there Lynn & Precious. We don't have squirrels or hogs or whistle pigs here. But we do have the bees & they are just wonderful on your Sedum there - I do hope my Sedum gets lots of bees this summer as I love them. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend. I'm having computer issues again (!!) so fingers crossed that this publishes. xx

That is a shame about the apples. We have 2 trees, but get about 10 apples. Glad there are still honey bees around. I haven't seen any in a few years. Brody sends his love to Precious. XO

It looks like wildlife is having a grand time in your part of the world. That's wonderful to see. It's too bad you missed the apples - apples right off the tree are so tasty, aren't they? - but at least they didn't go to waste; even the one-bite apples will serve their purpose.

It is a pity the wildlife didn't leave you many apples. That is an amazing amount of honey bees.
Thank you for your card and the lovely words. I did intend to thank you before I posted them but I was really tired when I came home from chemotherapy on Thursday. It was only in the evening I realised I hadn't scanned them to add to my post.

Quite the critter collection around you, Precious. Dad says his boss has an area on the property with pear, apple, cherry and peach trees, and about 90% of the fruit mysteriously disappeared before dad got a chance to pick anything. Between the deer, foxes, coyote, squirrels and likely a whistling pig or two or three, I guess we know where everything went.

Precious, you seem to have an enormous garden! Lucky you!
Mummy loves apples - in fruit salad, apple pie, or just as they are, au naturel, as it were (mol).
Step-Grandma has a garden (We don't), and although she doesn't grow apples, she has lemons, pomegranates, blackberries and miniature oranges. She used to have grapevines too - till a storm wrecked the pergola they were trained over.

That hug will be pickled on cider if she's not careful! Ahh, sedum is our favourite plant, and the bees love it when the weather is good and the sun helps ours bloom brighter.
Stay safe and well, Precious, and I do hope that treat bin fills up very soon!

It makes you wonder how the farmers ever have anything to sell, the way the critters go after our food.

Love the bees and butterfly, and great news about the bluebirds.

Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

Oh Precious! Seeing those bees on the Sedum was such a joy. The butterflies too. I wish that your om got to have some of her own apples but...true, that didn't really go to waste. Has Lynn made Apple jelly before?
