"Do y'all git tired of Lynn's caterwauling?  She's come up with another one fur me."

"I like to play in Lynn's antique jewelry box.  It'd be my

great-great hooman Grandpaw that made it. Lynn says

there's no jewels but lotsa keepsakes."

"I like to git things out and play on the floor.  This time, Lynn

got out Angel Suzy Q's red collar and heart tag and put

it on me."

" I started to go to bed with it, but Lynn decided she better

take it off and 

put it away

fur another day

of play."

I have to say, Precious did not mind one bit that

I buckled the collar.  She tried to reach with her teeth

for the heart but quickly decided going to bed would

be the better thing.  I had to crawl quickly to catch

her and take it off.

A Winter long guest.

 "We hada over winter guest.  Lynn would not let it in the house. But she 'splained to me this butterfly had to stay in it's shell all winter and outside so it would not hatch in the house."

"She found a teenie tiny Black Swallowtail caterpillar on a 

Queen Anne's lace in the garden in late Aug.  She had to buy it

organic parsley!  Me,  I just git bagged crunchies!"

"We kept it in a plastic bucket with a net cloth fur a lid.  To

keep the mice and birdies furom eating it."

"We were so happy to see it finally wake up.  It knew we had

a terrible winter and awful non-Spring Spring so it kept

in it's shell fur a very long time."

It hatched on April 21.  At least 6 months of waiting.

"As usual,  I take back seat to other critters."

Precious, I really don't think so.  After all you got 3 meals

a day with treats all winter long.  While poor butterfly

could only dream of Spring and flowers and flying.

And after it hatched out we have had morning after

morning of freezing weather and cold rain. Hopefully

the poor butterfly found food and dry place.

"Well, if I don't take the backseat to evfurry one else, how come

Rocky is eatin' and I'm just watchin'?

It was Sunday when the birds had hard water and I would not

go out on my pink rug.  I watched him wolf down bird seed."

Is to Me!

 "Lynn,  this is definitely me.  I recognize the photo you took of me when I furrst came home furom the orphanage."

"I 'member you takin' lots of pictures of me.  I was so surprised

to have my own blankie and bed and food bowl.  With 2 kinds

of crunchies to choose furrom.  And a private loo!"

"Why did you wait so many years, 13, to send my picture to the

calendar peeple?  I am sure they were thrilled to see this pose."

Precious,  once again,  I really don't think I sent your picture to

anyone.  But I do remember taking lots of pictures of you when

you came home with us.

"And nowadays, I gotta catio!  And I'm going out a bit.

Waitin' fur the flower pots to show up. Usin' my pink

rug 'cause we got mornin's of just above freezin' agin.

It just neffur ends.  Lynn also thought she lost my pink

rug when she could not find it anywhere.  Things got

all messed up when the floor peeple were here furever

in Dec."

Lynn's been at it agin

 "She's started up with that 2 wheeled thingy she calls a bicycle.  One where she leaves me fur hours upon hours alone."

"I'm left home alone to sleep while she tries to git her legs back

under her on the bike."

Now Precious,  I only leave for 2 or 3 hours and you are in your

morning coma when I do.  I was grateful that a week ago it

was warm enough for 4 mornings in a row that I could bike.

Other warm days had such vicious wind that I would not even

try.

I enjoyed seeing the Blue Heron rookery in full swing, and noise.

The baby calves born in the worst weather February are probably

1/2 again bigger than when born.  I missed seeing them smaller.

New comers to the bike path.  Pony and 2 horses.

These fantastic spider web cups can only be seen when

the morning sun is low and the webs are wet with dew,

or in this case, the fog had just lifted.  They look like

white flowers every where from a distance. 

Then the rain came and we had 3 nights of below freezing.

The bird baths were frozen a couple mornings this week.

Now it is trying to warm up again for a day.

"Good thing Lynn,  you came home and we got in our 

3 hours of leg time.  We gotta do this evfurry evening."

Precious,  I was not gone all day long!  We had

brunch and supper together.

A little help up

 "I gotta new step to git up on the kitchen stools fur gittin' on the counter."

"And the hoomans put a cup holder on my stool fur me.

You know all hooman chairs have built in cup holders 

anymore."

"Kin you see the cold water glass?"

"I am tucked into a long drink right now."

"I git along just fine jumpin' up and down, but it is fun

havin' my own easy step.

It's 'bout time I got a chair with a cup holder.

I've seen on TV hooman chairs with cup holders."

My Grape Hyacinths

Recently while Precious was having her morning nap,

I was in out big little city at the library.  A short

walk around the block and viola!  These incredible

tulips and the Gothic house.  Made the nippy air

a bit easier to take.

 "Dear kitties and puppies,  you 'member when I meowed how cold Lynn got me when she had no power in the bitter cold of March."

"Well, her and the man who rubs my belly, decided right

quick that they never wanted that agin.  It had happened

to us afore, but never like this time. I had my grey

onesie zipped to my chin and I tried to keep Lynn

warm in the evening by staying on her legs my

usual 3 hours.  But we were shivering."

"So once agin,  my purrivacy was invaded and I

spent a whole day hiding  UTB.  These 5 humans

in 3 trucks and 6 hours got us a big noisy box

outside.  This box is supposed to make the furnace

run and the lights on and the food box run."

"Lynn hopes it is not needed but after 13 years

of always gittin' the flash lights out and powerin'

up the phone just incase,  she hopes this is

the future cure."

That's right Precious.  Now I find it funny to think

what all I won't have to do incase of power outage!
