Bright Spot in the Winter

"Lynn, I've told you, I only want fresh wacky weed plants!

Why do you always get these frilly thingies?"

I have one African Violet in the house.  Precious really
doesn't care one way or the other about any live plant
except her valued catnip.

For me, she and the plant are a bright spot in this
winter time.

And here I am with my shadow, a very rare occurrence

"Gosh, Lynn, you couldn't do a real selfie like
me and the violet?  Ya got thumbs ya know.

And one week ago ice storm.
Thankfully we were without power for only 4 hours.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

I love African violets, but don't have anywhere appropriate to grow them in this townhouse. Years ago in Halifax I had several in a western-facing window and they flourished. Surprising, because I'm not typically good with any flowering plants.

The ice on the trees looks pretty, but I know how dangerous it can be. Even four hours without power in this cold is four hours too many! I'm glad it wasn't longer, though.

It's nice to "meet" your shadow, btw. :-) "Just me and my shadow, strolling down the avenue...."

African Violets certainly are a bright spot in the winter Lynn. I love the photo of your shadow. That sure was some ice storm ... I am pleased the power was only out for 4 hours. You will be longing for spring to appear. xx

I love flowers, but not in the house. They always end up dead or dying for some reason. I am counting the days until spring...

Hello dear!
I love flowers, I really love nature. It has a great influence on me, it relaxes me and gives me energy at the same time! Unfortunately, I cannot grow plants in my current home. However, I have a small dream to have a lot of greenery in my apartment.
It was snowing a little yesterday in my place. However, I hope that spring is coming to us :)
Greetings from Poland!

I can't have flowers in the house...Katie eats them. If someone sends me any or whatever, I have to put them on top of the fridge to keep them from being eaten. Course, that doesn't happen often. Seems I have to go to the hospital and survive, for flowers. :-)

Precious! You look marvellous with the violet darling! We have missed you! We are sorry we have not been around much. Mom has been working on the committee to stop the school district from closing our local elementary school. We are hooping it will all be over by the end of the month
