Catalpa Blossoms after they fell. |
These trees are native and grow very big. The leaves
are heart shaped and as large as a sheet of paper. When
they make seed, they are long green pods like greenbeans.
"Kitties, woofies, can you see those claws! How come she does

"Kitties, woofies, can you see those claws! How come she does
not git her claws clipped?"
"Lynn has yet to splain to me why a snake would shed
"Not our vizush deer. Mom and her two fawns were
on the trail with Lynn."
Right Precious, I see more every day.

Snake skin shed in lily pond |
"Lynn has yet to splain to me why a snake would shed
it's skin. You don't see me shedding my grey onesie. Do
snakes go shoppin' fur new clothes?"
How do you know that they will evfur hop away?"
Precious, I figure only one survived being a baby
Unfortunately that happens sometimes.
That snapping turtle had to eat you know.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Varied wildlife, Lynn. The snapping turtle looks a little battered - lucky escape when younger, perhaps?
Precious in her blue bag looks splendid.
I love seeing all the critters you encounter! They would make my day. Snake skins are neat to see, but a bit disconcerting, IMO! Precious, it's a good thing kitties and humans don't shed like that!!
Of course the best "critter" is the blue bag turtle! 😸
Nice photos of a bit of wildlife Precious......
Love Snapping Turtles...
Although snapping turtles may defend themselves
when they feel threatened, they are by no means
aggressive and will not attack/bite people or pets
unless they are purposefully provoked.
In water they are less aggressive, usually retreating
or withdrawing when confronted by a larger animal....
Though it's best to steer clear of them, especially the
adults.....! :(
And...Nice to see you've finished off with the 'pink'
Bee Balm....Oh! And the big grey turtle in the blue bag...1 :O)

That really is an interesting bunch of critters out there sweet Precious!
Interesting wildlife photos. Esp the turtle 😊
Precious thank goodness Lynn has such a quick finger to snap these fun photos. Speaking of Snapping Mr. Snapping turtle needs a mani-pedi! Blue Bag turtles are my favorite critters. That blue looks very nice with your gray furs
Hugs Cecilia

We find catalpa trees along our walks. They are very cool trees! Mom is not a snapping turtle lover as when she was married, they used to have ducks, geese and swans and the snappers were mean pulling the birds under water and drowning them. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Lynn saw lots of varied wildlife on her walk. That snapping turtle has very long claws and probably very sharp teeth too. His shell looks a bit battered. Of course the Blue Bag Turtle is the best.
The Bee balm flower is so pretty. Stay away from the snapping turtle or you might lose a finger. lol
That bee balm is a stunning colour Lynn. Those big blossoms that have fallen (in your first pic) I am wondering what they would be like pressed. They are fascinating. That turtle looks a bit nasty with those claws. When you see the deer like that, do they run away ? Or do you have to run away I am wondering? I am guessing they are shy?
You look so sweet & happy in your blue bag Precious. Madam Pip is in one at the moment too but hers is green. She tells me she would much rather prefer a blue one (!!).
Rain rain & more rain here ... driveway is flooded but everything else is fine. Good sewing weather I tell myself. Have a great weekend both of you x0x
Nice photos except for the snake skin. Brody says he wants to get in that bag with you. XO
Wow! What a diverse and interesting area you have outside your house! I liked the snapping turtle the best though I don't think I would like it in person.
Wishing you a very happy summer without too much heat.
Oh, Precious, you make an awesome blue bag turtle for sure. Mom and dad have been knocking off stretches northward and soutward of the Delaware River Canal Towpath on weekends, and regularly see critters like these. The most frequent ones, though, are beautiful herons, standing still as statues watching for their dinner.
