"Well, you can guess that Lynn went off on another one of her jaunts and without me. But I would nevfur evfur wanna leave my house."
"So off she went one morn and I waited it out safely."
Heisey Glass Company was in business from 1869 until 1957.
The collection at the museum is mostly gifted from collections and there
are thousands of pieces to view.
The building is so beautiful that I wanted to show a bit of
the inside.
The fee is just $5.00 and you can browse for as long as you wish.
It is 3 stories up and then the basement has a bit of old
enlarged photos of the factory while working in the 1800's.
As always, I am glad to finally be home. This was not that
far away. In Newark, Ohio.
"As soon as I got my late brunch, I settled in fur a wonderful
bit of sun and brushing. All is right now in cat world."
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Goodness me Precious, your Mum certainly
finds some lovely places in and around your
home...I do love all the glass things on display,
though l would'nt want the job of cleaning it..!
And...It's probably worth all, a great deal of
money...!
I always watch the repeats over here of The Antiques
Roadshow, and Flog It...usually a lot of glass on there,
and like a lot of things on there, worth a lot of money,
most people, when told, are quite surprised...!
I'm off to a large town shortly, just 45min bus ride,
leaving the car at home, l've had a bus pass for the
last 17yrs, and only just started using it recently....
I'll sit on the top deck, and enjoy the view...I've only
kept the car so l can go to the Supermarket, up to
the top of town, once a week...otherwise, l could
do without one....
Well..best get on...Enjoy your brushes in the sun
puddles Precious...you certainly look as though
you are...Bless!x

That is a lovely place to visit and such a low entrance fee. You would most likely have to pay 5X that amount here, or more! The glass is exquisite, and the building is lovely.
I am glad you had a relaxing day in sun puddles, and a satisfying brushing when Lynn got home, Precious.
Oh my gosh, wow! What an incredible place to visit. That staircase is wonderful, as is all the amazing glassware! Ditto on the fee, btw, though maybe donors have provided enough funds to support the maintenance of the building and its contents.
Precious, I'm sure you were happy to have your human home again to give you your brushies. Her day away was worth it, though!
The museum is a most interesting place. I love all the glass, especially the blue. It amazes me when glass has survived years without damage.
I'm sure Precious was pleased to have you home again.
Exquisite glass. My Grandmother had a small gift shop in Buffalo, and actually traveled to Austria (and other European countries) to purchase glass and crystal for selling in her shop. As a child/young teen, the colorful glass ware always fascinated me whether wine goblets, vases, bowls or other ... just beautiful! (BTW Gram was a woman ahead of her time, raised 4 kids, had her own business and more!)
Wow, that glass is lovely (and so are you!)
I love x 100 glass of all kinds and shapes and sizes. Please thank mom for the wonderful photos...that being said very happy I am not in charge of keep the glass so sparkly
Precious you look stunning sunning
Hugs Cecilia
We hope the recent earthquake not far from Newark, OH didn't make any of this pretty glass shake!
That is a super cool place and we have some of that exact glassware here! Have a fun weekend sweet Precious!

What an amazing outing for Mom! Thanks for sharing! Precious, when I think of all the damage you & I could do in a place like that my tail starts twitching with excitement! πΉ Rocky
Ah Yes Precious can forgive Mum for going off on one of her jaunts, so long as she gets her furs brushed while she lies in the suns rays!! Its all about priorities.
That building is amazing Lynn - gosh only $5 entry fee. I think that staircase is stunning & some of that green glassware would likely have wanted to come home with me (!!)
I am glad you are finally getting out & about again Lynn - that the weather is allowing this. I lit the fire for the first time yesterday - it was gloomy & I felt shivery - once I lit it the furry ones did not take long to find it. Have a great weekend both of you x0x
Brody wishes he could have kept you company Precious. I wish I could have gone to the museum with your mom. XO
She finds some fun places to visit but how can she keep leaving you? (I agree about Shifting Gears but it has been renewed for a second season, so that's good.)
A beautiful old house, but can you imagine dusting all that glass? I'd be afraid of breaking a piece; so much to break! Yet it's all wondrous to look at.
Wow! Such amazing art in all that glass! Good thing you got your brushies in for a reward after your Mum got home!
It looks like a beautiful place, I'd enjoy browsing there.
What a lovely museum Lynn found! Precious, can you imagine what might happen if some kitties We know were let loose there (mol)?
Wow, if you are going to be given the (very temporary) brush off, then for such fine glassware is the perfect reason. I bet the grooming was well worth the wait.
May your week be as delightful...
ERin
Love the glass chandelier!
Whoa what an amazing museum! So fun to see the different colors, shapes, and sizes of the glass. That staircase is also incredible! I can't imagine having the carpets cleaned haha. Thanks for sharing!!!
Oona: "Oona would love to go to that glass museum! Would she have to pay per the glass or could she knock down as many as she wants for one price?"
I’m glad precious got a good brushing.
Precious! Our Peep is a tad envious...she would LOVE to walk through that glass museum (She is a tad clumsy though and it might end up being like a bull in a china shop!)
Sooooo, grrl furrend, when I read yesterday that you were wondering WHY there is NOT a Maltese Cat Day (A Maltese cat is any whose fur is completely or primarily grey and regardless of breed. Maltese is a coat-colour term, not a breed name, just like a tuxie) Anyway we were thinking we could make a grey cat day by making a badge for Maltese Cat Day for June 27th! I bet it would be as famous as Meezer or Tuxie or Tabby Cat Day in a few years! Would you be up for that and can I use You as the model in the badge? Your Gal Pal Jo Jo
