"Lynn, we are being invaded by the outdoor kitties!"
"Here's that tuxie that chased the skwierl up the
back door."
"And one of the two black kitties. This one has
no white. It's sibling has a white star as a bib.
These both are drinkin' outa the bird/deer dishes.
They are part of the wild cats that are in and out
of our yard a whole lot. Some folks down the
road a bit keep food out and Lynn sees them
eatin' sometimes when she walks."
"But this fellow is my neighbor Blackie. He comes
by to eat my wacky weed and hiss at me if the
door is open. He used to be furiendly, but not
anymore. He drinks from all the dishes too. But
he does have people who take care of him a bit. He's
been around fur a lotta years."
"I am so glad to be an indoor kitty with the only weight of
the world on my shoulders is a trip to Dr. Feelbad once
in awhile."
We have so many feral cats in our rural community.
I feel bad every day when I see them. I always hope
they survive the bad weather. I know they are killing
the birds. They also get the mice and chipmunks, which
is a good thing.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Love the little funny at the end & can relate! LoVe your festive crochet Lynn - wish I could crochet. Yes we have some wild cats in our area too - I always feel bad when I see them & hope they are not starving. You are lucky to be tucked away inside where you are safe & well cared for & loved dear Precious. You do not wanna be outside fighting with those hissy felines. Wishing you both a great weekend - its turned HoT here - not my favorite season. xx
It's nice seeing your 'wild' friends Precious,
and nice of Mum, and neighbours to feed them,
especially Winter time...most manage to survive,
but, if it's really cold, it can be a problem...!
And...Yes! It's best being an indoor kitty, nice and
warm, Mum's legs to sleep on, plenty of food, well,
some of the time, and Christmas on it's way..Bless!x

It's a hard life for wild animals, which feral cats are, effectively. Precious, you're a lucky lady, living in a nice, warm house with loving humans.
I smiled at the cartoon - cats do love to help with craft work.
I feel so badly for the feral and abandoned cats. I'm glad they have Lynn and a neighbour to help them out. Even better would be a TNR group in your area, but resources are limited and there enough of those.
Yes, Precious, it's much better to be an indoor kitty with human servants. ❤️
I love that crochet hanging! So pretty. ππ
Precious, you and I think alike. When I see a wild kitty, I hiss...and get upset sometimes, but I know that I am in a warm house with a mom who loves me. Plenty to eat, and those poor kitties outside have a terrible life. The spay and neuter words are ever present in mom's mind when she sees them; and pity for their hard lives.
Aren't enough of TNR groups....
I hope someone is taking care of the ferals and someone needs to help with a TNR project for them. They are all good looking kitties.
we haz no owtside cats here other than willie, who izza not really an owtside cat, he just visitz frum down dee street, but we hazzalot ov d-o-g's and coyotes and bobcats and bunnies
Precious you are a funny girl 'trip to Dr. Feelbad '
I too worry about all the feral kitties around. Currently we don't have any in our area. There used to be several.
Lynn your crocheting holiday decorations are exquisite. The angel OMCs!!!!!!...I used to crochet doilies and such...but just to small. Well done and bravo for this most beautiful display.
I moved on to scarves and Afghans.
Hugs to you and your boss lady
Cecilia
These stars are great - well made. I like it very much...
and yes, this beautiful ball of wool, how wonderfully it twitches... I could entertain it even better...
Happy second weekend of Advent to you.
Hug from Viola

Mom and her furrend Mary are still trying to catch Lucifer! Well Mary is (Mom can't go out). Lucifer is eating at Mary's house and she has resurrected the outside cat house that Merel lived in before he got trapped, and neutered and came back to live in Mary's shop. He too will be neutered and come back to live with Merle and Lindy. We LOVE your Mom's crochet! Mom was going to do some this year, but alas, Nutmeg thinks the balls of wool are DOG TOYS!! So no crochet this year. Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv, Kozmo, Jo Jo and Nutcase er Nutmeg (and Mom Barb).
PS The cartoon made coffee come out our Mom's nose! He! Hee!! Hee!!!
Being an indoor kitty is truly a gift. My heart breaks when I think of cats outside in the cold.
I feel so bad for all the outdoor kitties. I hope someone TNRs them in your area. I am glad you are so blessed. Great job crocheting, they are so pretty. XO
Hoping the community cats have been fixed.
It's always upsetting to see them outside, and that's why we built a few outside shelters, using inexpensive items.
Just 'cause we cannot touch them, doesn't mean we won't love them, eh?
Well, maybe not you, Precious...and for good reason.
I haven't seen any neighbourhood cats or ferals in my new location. I miss that, but am also glad in a way...
Life is so tough for any animals that have to fend themselves in the wild. This is what those who think that all animals should be released to "live free" absolutely do not understand.
Firstly, that "Don't even think about it" at the end is a hoot, and so real! We don't really have any ferals around here, and don't ever see any other kitties wandering around our place. It's a good thing, though, since we're so close to a main road and nowadays human drivers are effing crazy. There's a stop light right at the entrance to our development, and mom and dad always have to wait an extra few seconds because it never fails that some idiot will come zipping through after it changes to green.
Precious, We also feel bad for the outside kitties. Mummy feeds them, of course - and if they need to get out of the rain, there are lots of basements they can take shelter in in Our Street, but of course, there's nothing can beat having a nice, warm, loving home.
Mummy thinks that cartoon is funny. WE aren't so sure. Fancy depriving that little kitty of such a fun toy!
Lynn's crochet work is furry purrty.
That is so kind that you look out for these sweet cats!
Java Bean: "Ayyy, I wonder if we could get one of our Tuxie's to chase the squirrel closer to the house ..."
Charlee: "Don't even think about asking us to do that."
It's hard to see all the ferals, isn't it. People just don't think ot have their animals fixed.
That yarn is not long for this world, no matter what she says.
we've had an unusual number of cats by our condo recently. It makes me sad because I think people are moving out and leaving their cats behind. It makes me physically sick and breaks my heart.
