"Lynn, I am glad these kitties have grey onesies like me. But how come they gotta wear clothes?"
It isn't often I get cat help when I decide to mess around
with some kind of craft project. But earlier in the warm
weather, Precious and I had a few quiet days at home alone.
When I was not biking or outside, I decided to make
these cats. I have had the pattern for years. It was
supposed to be easy making the clothes out of felt
and simply glue them together. Well, let me say,
my fabric glue did nothing but make a mess. I had
to hand stitch every thing. Drove me nuts. I do
not do well with "fiddlely" things as Julie at

"I'm totally bored with these cats. They do nothing by stare out
of their green eyes. I'm goin' to go to sleep now."
A few more museum photos.
This was definitely NOT a bike ride trip, lol.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

Precious, I love the crafty kitties! I have NO patience for things like that, and I'm impressed with Lynn's efforts.π BTW, you might be bored with them, but at least they don't eat your treats!
ReplyDeleteThat museum was worth the distance to travel!
Have a terrific weekend and week ahead!
Dearest Kim and Precious,
ReplyDeleteYou sure can be proud of your Pilgrim Kitties for having finished that task.
Guess they were original Dutch Kitties that came from the city of Leiden on the Mayflower with the Pilgrims after they lived for 12 years in Leiden due to its tolerance. Thanksgiving got celebrated in 1574 due to the end of the 80–year Spanish war and that tradition got carried over by the Pilgrims to the New World.
Love Precious' face with those Kitties.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
Those kitties are very cute and I'm glad you take your helping duties seriously sweet Precious!
ReplyDeleteThey may have been disappointingly fiddley to make, but they are adorbs!
ReplyDeleteLynn please forgive my giggle about the glue gun. I TRIED to use one ONCES. Evidently I missed the course on glue guns 'cause I too failed. I do love the Pilgrim Cats. I think you did an excellent job. The cat in the yellow cardigan was quite fashionable
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday
Hugs Cecilia
The Pilgrim cats turned out great! Precious, just be glad it is them wearing the clothes and not you.
ReplyDeleteI think your sewn cats are fine and I love the cat sleeping in your sofa what a purrrrrrfect picture
ReplyDeleteWell I think you did amazing Lynn!! And I don't think you give yourself enough credit - they do look fiddly but they turned out wonderful & real "Pilgrim cats". I can see Precious got tired of supervising your crafting & went to sleep in the big chair.
ReplyDeleteI just love that museum so much & would love to visit it one day (in my dreams probably). I am reading a wonderful book at the moment (its fiction) called Cat Lady. I thought of you when my friend loaned it to me. Have a great weekend - gentle rain here today which the garden is drinking up. I am off to the sewing room - I am sure there is carpet in there somewhere under the mess(!!!)xx
Very cute. You did a great job. XO
ReplyDeleteYou did such an amazing job with them!!! I love them!
ReplyDeleteVery nice on the pilgrims. Any crafts I try my hand at do not turn out like the pictures on the instruction booklet...
ReplyDeleteThe crafty cats are cool, sure, but my word, Precious- that shot of you in the chair is sooooo me! Oh, and as to that last photo, dad says he has always loved Kliban cat stuff.
ReplyDeleteThose craft cats are adorable - but YOU are the most adorable of all, Precious.
ReplyDeleteSuch awwdorable Pelgrims, Purrecious and man, do you look amazing tooπ»π»Extra Pawkisses for you and your mommy tooπΎπ½π
ReplyDeleteOooh, happy belated Birthday! I love your model cats. Though I agree they are a tad Over Dressed! Still, as ong as you got to share in some festival fare, I would be happy to dress up, too. The third of the felines down in that selection of visit images is rather fine, exquisite, even.
ReplyDeleteBut none compare to the feline that resides in the fur, in the here and now, in the tummy filled post thanksgiving week!

Charlee: "Hmm, those clothes-wearing cats must be Puritans. You know how Puritans are."
ReplyDeleteCute crafts~ How lovely that you have a feline to assist you :)
ReplyDeleteLynn and Precious! Happy very belated birthday!! <3
ReplyDeleteWe love your stuffy kitties!! Mom used to do craft when she was very young and always had fond memories. Yesterday, for the first time in ages, she stopped by Fabricland to look for things she can fix my winter coat which I destroyed. hahaha... No luck but she says Fabricland is still a fun place to hang out! Juno xo
They may be fiddly, but they turned out quite well, and I enjoyed all your photos. What did happen to Puss in Boots food?
ReplyDeleteSo cute I love this thank you so much for sharing. My meatloaf spilled a plant today, I need to call and get a carpet cleaning Park Ridge haha oh well at least they're cute
