"I have my very own catnip plants. Lynn keeps some growing
all the time."
"This one is my very large plant outside in the
flower bed. As you can see, Lynn keeps a metal
cage around it. Otherwise the neighbors come for
a party and break it all down. Then it is wilted
and no good fur eating."
"She started me a new one from a slip of plant.
It is now on the patio just fur me. I only ever sniff
on it so far, so it can grow. I eat the leaves from the
big one when Lynn picks them fur me every day.
She has to pick from the highest top, as the boy
kitties around here are rather naughty. They turn
their bee-hinds to the plant and spray!"
I have always grown catnip for my cats at home.
Here in this yard since Precious came to live, the
outdoor cats seem to be more aggressive and
chew and roll around than I have seen in the past.
Pink lilies. I have one perennial flower bed and I only
have pink plants, and they bloom in varying time
stages. This will be replaced by pink tall and short
bee balm next.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.
HeHe! You pussy~cats and your catnip....
ReplyDeleteGoodness! where would you be without it...
Plus it's a good plant to have growing in the
garden...It's a member of the mint family....
Has pretty lavender flowers..Attracts pollinating
insects...Deters rats, aphids and ants....
So a nice 'all' round plant....!
And the pink lilies look lovely to...and...yes..pink
is the ultimate colour...HeHe! Bless!x

ReplyDeleteYour nip plant is amazing. Mom always kills ours.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago when mom first moved into their house, there was lots pf catnip growing in the yard. Mom hadn't a cat then, so it got mowed and mowed till it disappeared. As the saying goes, "who's sorry now" ?That would be her.
ReplyDeleteWow Lynn! You must have an amazing area there for growing! I have tried growing catnip but NEVER had good luck like yours! Yours is the largest I have ever seen!!! Just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteNone of our cats have ever shown interest in catnip but I grow it anyway, for the flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour lilies are beautiful. I like the idea of a pink bed for flowers - very pretty.
That is a huge catnip plant! Those boy cats have no manners! Those lilies are lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lilies. And that is an impressive catnip plant. Make sure your mom dries some for you so you have it year round. Brody sends a kitty kiss. XO
ReplyDeleteI love that you only have pink plants! I've never tried to grow a catnip plant.
ReplyDeleteNeighbours can be a bother when they don't behave, not even acknowledging the courtesy you do them by allowing them access to your catnip plants, eh, Precious?
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, having your own catnip plants! I'm sorry the other cats in the neighborhood do such naughty things. Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
ReplyDeleteYour catnip plant is HUGE Precious ...lucky you that Mum grows it for you. Yes boy cats are rather naughty like that - spraying on things. Your pink lillies are just gorgeous Lyn - how great to have a total pink garden. Willie would love that! Its his favourite colour. xx
ReplyDeleteOh, you lucky girl! Your furry own catnip plant!
ReplyDeletePrecious! Darling! Brody dreams about you!?! How cool! I guess that now makes me your #2 Fan Boy. Your catnip plant is humongous! Ours is just now going over the top of the pot because some human has forgotten to water that part of the yard (and it has been hot!) at least it does not have wire worms eating its roots (like the garden) We love that your peep has a Pink flower bed! Something our Peep should try! Keep being awesome you guys! Your #2 Fan Boy, Marvelous Marv
ReplyDeleteNow that's a great idea to grow the catnip up like that. Thanks for posting this! We will get right on the pawrents and see if we can do that for us too. xo Have a wonderful day!
