Now it's the tree trimmers

"I'm telling you Lynn, I've had it up to my whiskers with being disturbed.  The one morning I decide to sleep upstairs after breakfast

and window time instead of under the bed and this is what happens."

"I know that electricity keeps your fridge humming, and the furr-nace

purring, and we spend hours of leg time with the boob tube on."

I know Precious. I just can't help it or stop it.
The electric company sends out tree trimming
trucks every 3 or 4 years to keep the trees from
over hanging the electric lines.  This does help
us to not have too many power failures which
every one of us in this house appreciates, PRECIOUS.

"Git 'em out of the neighborhood quick!"

One winter, one cat.  5 cats to go.  I wonder
if and when they will come to life.

Thankful February 1993

February 1993 floofy Seney came to
live with us.  She and Wonderwoman Peepers
did keep good company together for 15 months.

Peepers lost her left hind leg when cancer came
back a second time. She had it removed
Thanksgiving weekend 1992.

Peepers was a retired show cat.  She was
considered a Queen as they had shown her,
then bred her two times and then spayed her.
She needed a forever home even though for
us it was only 6 1/2 years before the 3rd
cancer got her.

I'm thankful I have had such wonderful cats in
my life.  For me there have been difficult times
when my cat saved my sanity.
They did sort of play together.  Peepers wanted to
be a mama kitty again, and Seney wanted to be a cat.

Sunpuddle City

"Lynn,  I can't believe the sun came out fur me fur Valentines

week.  Trip the light fantastic."

Precious and I have been waiting for sunshine for

months.  We had a bit last week after days of rain.

And now this week 3 days in a row.

The front door faces due west and the sun is now moving

further north every day.  We have the door open as the wind

is out of the south and not blowing in.  The temps rose to

low 40's and mid 50's.  Barely mid February, and this is

                              the new climate change.

"I will be getting a suntan on my grey onesie!"

The book above is number 6.  I read the other

                                         5 already.

The above DVD is a BBC TV series made in 1974.

Just a sample of a few books and DVDs I've had
to keep winter at bay.  We are back to teens at night
for a few nights and then warming up again. Crazy.

Wants and Kneads

"Lynn, I love this mohair shawl. It is the purr-fect fit fur me

and the right color fur my grey onesie."

I crocheted this shawl years ago and wore it
occasionally.  I just never gave it away or otherwise
disposed of it.  This winter Precious wants time
in the drawer every afternoon after her Greenies treat
and the last of her breakfast.  (know here as brunch)
She really goes to town with the tootsies.  The
yarn I used seems to be holding up under the use
by her sharp claws.

"Don't ever give this away, Lynn.  I won't wear it,
but I may wear it out."

The Cable Guy

"Lynn, I don't care about TV.  I just don't want strangers in the

house.  I'm 'fraid of everyone."

I know Precious.  But one or two times a year, it seems
I must call on outside help.
This time the lovely company that provided Precious
with her most favorite and unendingly expensive
blue bag, needed to be called upon.

I pay way to much for some basic TV, so when I turn
the boob-tube on, I expect to see what I want to see.
Not a message "weak or no signal".

The good news is the man came at 9 AM when Precious
is having her 6 hour morning beauty nap under the bed.
I closed the door so she could hear less and smell less.

When he replaced a 9 year old cable with a new one
and that fixed the problem, he was gone in 45 minutes.

But Precious was so un-nerved by the smell of his shoes
on the carpet and his hands on the credenza.
She did get her 5 PM brushing and then dinner.  But instead of
waiting until closer to 6 to get on my legs, she jumped up
at 5:20 and stayed until 8:30 that evening.

And she slept with me!  She usually sleeps in our chair all
night and I check on her at midnight.  In the hot summer,
she sleeps with me since the ceiling fan is right over the end
of the bed.  But this night, she came in at 9:30 and stayed until
5 AM.  She did seem less nervous the next day and went back
to sleeping in the living room with the TV.

"I love my blue bag but don't let anyone in again. They may
steal it and my frog."

Well, you can see the groundhog saw his shadow
Thursday morn.  I was grateful for sunshine as it
is unheard of around here most weeks at a time.
However, he did not make points with me since
he is predicting MORE winter weather as he
safely goes back to bed where he does not care
about the current conditions.

This week Precious has flash frozen eye lashes and whiskers.
Back to winter temps.  10 F at night this week and of course
at 6 AM with window time!
