Warm Up "Cool Hand Luke"

"Lynn,  ya shoulda shared this secret with hoomans months ago.  Before we turned into Antarctica."

"Maybe some peeples don't know about Hot Hands, and
how they make yer hands hot on a cold day."

Precious you are probably right.  These things work wonders
and I use them all winter long every time I leave home to
go to the store.  If you've not seen them, they are available
in Walmart in the sporting goods section.  Most hardware
stores too.  So inexpensive.  But be warned they do actually
get HOT so you need to keep a layer or 2 of cloth between
it and your skin.  And they do last 6 hours or more.

"Lynn,  I'll just keep my paws indoors 'til catio time."

Photo taken on Valentine's Day.  Still a frozen ice field.

"And luv yerself peeple. Keep warm and don't be fooled by
March 20th date."

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.

    1. It's been pouring down here this morning Willie. And foggy for the last three mornings in a row. But it'll soon be the end of the heat wave because it's going to start snowing on saturday.

  2. Those hand warmers sound like a very good ides. My hands are always icy cold, indoors outdoors, summer and winter.
I have got a wheat bag and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to keep my hands warn indoors.
It might not seem like it now, Precious, but catio time will soon come around again.

  3. I've seen similar hand warmers for many years and still haven't tried them. It's good to know they DO hold heat for such a long time!

I love seeing those deer in your yard. I'd be snapping a few hundred pics, of course, were I there! πŸ˜†

Precious, the Spring Equinox might be getting closer, but here in my area, I doubt we'll see green grass until May. Another storm is on the way today. I'm SO sick of winter!!!! πŸ™„ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

  4. Thank you for letting us know about Hot Hands, Precious. We've seen them in Home Depot at the register and wondered if they really worked. The deer are so pretty in your yard!

  8. Heated hand warmers are an excellent idea, but Precious has the right idea - stay indoors until the weather warms up.

  12. There's a coincidence: I was just looking on-line to see if my local Canadian Tire store had those items. I found a kind that warms for about an hour - that's more than I usually need - and then can be ready for use again by boiling them in water.

  13. Ooh, I like what John commented; those are the kind that I need.
Will look for them 'round here.

  14. My daughters friend just bought 2 electronic hand warmers. You just plug them in to recharge them. They work really good. I have used several different kinds but now just wear gloves when it gets cold.

  15. I have not seen those hot hands over here Lynn ... which doesn't mean to say they are not here - just I've not been looking. We have wheatbags here (or heat sacks as some folk call them). They are filled with wheat & then you warm them in the microwave & they stay warm. My friend used to make small hand sized ones & heat them for her son before he went onto the freezing field to play hockey - he had pockets in his shorts & kept them in there. I am wondering if Precious wants a heat pad tucked under her blanket - Pip used to have one when she was a kitten. The things her Mother used to do πŸ˜‰ ... she's still just as pathetic.
Happy weekend to you both - I shall show The Mr the photo of the deer & the ice. Its a nice day here, not too hot, no wind ... I've been out burning down my rubbish heap. Usually we have a fire ban over summer but none this year as it's been so wet. x0x0

  19. I could sooner use that kind of thin in my boots...when it's really cold I wear mitts instead of gloves, they help keep my fingers warmer. But my tootsies, Yow, they get stone cold...and ache for quite a while after I get back inside. Such were my experiences when I had to be outside for hours at a time to deal with all the snow and ice we had here when the Arctic temps were pestering us.
Best to stay inside, Precious, like you said! Even us pups were reluctant to be out there for more than a couple minutes at a time.

  23. Those little pocket warmers are so clever, better than the charcoal burning type! Heres hoping your patio will open up for visitors soon, the first one being Mrs Sun...
    Have a warm cosy week

  25. Precious. Mom used Hot Hands & Hot Feet when she went to Alaska! Wonderful! May I nibble on your sweet feet?!? ❤️ Rocky

  26. Mom uses those in her glovesand her boots and (sometimes) her pockets! The human bro has a battery heated jacket, vet, pants, socks and gloves! He gotted all that stuff when he was working at the mill. He forgot to take it with him when he went to Edmonton for 2 months (it got down to -40c&F) when he was there and he could have used them. Here was NOT so cold but Mom did wear his vest outside when it was really cold! Mr Kozmo LOVES our heated matress pad when it is turned on the bed at night and Mom sometimes plugs in a heating pad for him on the sofa. Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv
