"Lived inna shoe. Had so many caterpillars she didn't know what to do. Seney's pink swamp milkweed sure has brung us lotsa
caterpillars this year."
I only have two plants in her flower bed, and I keep
finding eggs and even baby pillars that I have missed.
But I actually have not seen that many butterflies!
They must be fluttering by when I'm not looking.
"Lookie hoomans, one hatched!"
"Lynn says she'll keep a paw count and late October
she'll try to 'member to tell you how many. Fur
me it is Nightmare on Elm street afore Halloween."
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and a comment.
It is much appreciated.
Lynn is doing a very good job with all those eggs and caterpillars. They are good for you to watch too.
ReplyDeleteInternational Cat Day, celebrated on August 8th, is a great opportunity to shower your feline friends with extra love and attention. Consider spoiling your cat with new toys, treats, or a cozy bed. You can also dedicate time to playing with your cat, grooming them, or simply enjoying some quality lap time. Beyond your own pets, you can also use the day to support local cat shelters and rescue organizations through donations or volunteering......
ReplyDeleteSo...Who's the cat at the top...???

Hi Willie, that was our lovely Seney. My pink flower bed is Where She lays at rest. I heard you had your daughter last weekend and I hope you had a great visit.
DeleteAh! Before my time then....!x Thankyou..!
ReplyDeleteYes! Last Sunday was a bit busy, l had a garden party,
fifteen people and five kids turned up, l thought l'd
done to much food, but no, it's amazing what kids can
put away...HeHe!! Bless them..! :).
Just about back to normal...Well...as normal as l'll ever
be...! :O).
Precious, would you like to be a caterpillar and have lots to eat all day? I don't think you'd find their food very appetising You have got a very kind Mum to look after all those little creatures.
ReplyDeleteLynn does take good care of them! If I'd done the same when the boys were with me, Nicki would have shredded that netting in short order and both he and Derry would have made short work of them.
ReplyDeleteBut Precious, Lynn takes the BEST care of you...as she should!
Precious, you make me laugh. Always something to worry about, right? I bet it's fun watching those caterpillars though.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to grow your own butterflies!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
WOW, look at all those wee babies! Make sure you help with the count sweet Precious!
ReplyDeleteGentle paws, Miss Precious ...
ReplyDeleteYour mom is amazing growing all of those beautiful butterflies herself, Precious!
ReplyDeleteI was bragging on your Mom yesterday, Precious, how she and you too, raise butterflies!! To me, that is absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "I bet you would like to live in a shoe, wouldn't you, Charlee?"
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "I DO NOT HAVE A SHOE FETISH! But yes, I would give it a try."
Chaplin: "Good job raising caterpillars into butterflies, Precious. It's an investment in your own future entertainment watching them flutter around!"
Oh what a beauty Lady Seney. The swamp milkweed is very pretty for a minute I thought it was Lantana.
ReplyDeletePrecious bless your itty bitty kitty heart. The caterpillars get way better service than you. Make note of this for Lynn's EOY review
Hugs and Happy Friday

I didn't realize those tiny spots are eggs. Very cool to see the butterflies.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the butterflies! Thank you for sharing your blog post today with them and for linking up with Feline Friday.
ReplyDeleteWe cat lovers love all the cats in the world!
ReplyDeleteButterflies are beautiful!
I think Lynn does amazingly well with the caterpillars & butterflies dear Precious. I remember her doing this each year & I always think Oh I must get one of those zip up cage thingies but I always forget. SOoooo many caterpillars.
ReplyDeleteYes I did remember it was International Cat Day but then I forgot to celebrate with my furry family. Mind you - that Madam Pip thinks every day I need to celebrate HER!!!
Have a lovely weekend - we are getting peeps of sunshine here, I do hope it stays awhile. xxx
You look intrigued by them! But it's no fair they get to eat all they want and you don't :(
ReplyDeleteMake sure you don't chew on milkweed because it is poisonous. That is a lot of cocoons. XO
ReplyDeleteSeney is beautiful. What a nice way to memorialize her.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable cat! thank you for sharing the photos.
ReplyDeleteWell, Precious, when you were a youngster and still growing, you probably were given as much food as you wanted, too. You can't feed a kitten too much - even if it's a caterpillar.
ReplyDeleteBut, Precious, they will be so purrty when they turn into flutterbys!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful that your mom is helping the monarchs to be able to have more...they sure are pretty butterflies, and it's sad that their numbers are decreasing so much.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Precious, that's an incredible butterfly house, and your mom is utterly furbulous for doing this! πΎπΎπ»
ReplyDeleteI used to buy caterpillars when I was a teacher for the children to learn about their cycle of growth
