Spring is a funny season, Precious. We still
have very cold nights below freezing. But your
Chippie has come out and has run around quite a bit.
He probably is waiting for your catio fence to be
built soon as it is warm enough.
Our Eastern Blue Birds have nested in the box.
They had 4 successful nests last year.
They live in our yard year round. I kept them fed in dry meal worms.
Soon and very soon, I hope, I'll have hundreds of
miniature daffodils blooming.

That chippie is very realistic looking. Yesterday was a lovely Spring day, cloud free sky and temperature up in low 60s. Today we are overcast and 54F.

of his apple then...Never mind...they do eat a
lot for a tiny creature...!
And, yes, our Spring was last Monday, third one
this year, wish they'd make there minds up, it's
still cold though, temp. around zero, even though
the suns been out everyday for a week, it needs
to dry out a bit more....and, the clocks go on a hour next weekend, Sunday, 30th, so, it'll be lighter all round...!
Best get on, l'm off up to Lidl, the supermarket, need a
few bits and pieces, to keep me going...l like to keep
stocked up....HeHe! Don't want to starve do we...! :).

ReplyDeleteHmmm - Real or Imposter....Who can tell! I can tell you there is a REAL (and huge) Eagle fishing in our river. Mom's furrend says the eagles have 3 babies right now, so we are not allowed outside much so we don't become Eagle Chick food. Mom has been trying to catch a picture of her. We posted a picture of the snow and the eagle is in it, but she is behind one of the gazebo supports. So I guess we got the polar vortex before you! Stay warm dear furrend! Your gal pal Jo Jo

ReplyDeleteWe have a few daffs getting ready to bloom, and two lonely crocuses...no tulips yet, and we have not seen any chipmunks yet either...our bluebirds are around, but they don't seem interested in the feeder just for them, its a new one, and they have not 'discovered' it yet. I had to put the old one away because the starlings were able to gain entry....and they are voracious! So the BB's are eating peanuts now, tghe woodpecker's food, LOL! I think some voles, moles and squirrels have decimated the spring bulbs here, I need to replant them later and put them in wire cages to thwart those rodents! They must not like scilla and snowdrops cause we have plenty of those!
